How can we help?
Most settings live in the Grown-ups area. Open it from the Grown-ups button and answer the multiplication question, which keeps children out.
Restore a purchase
Grown-ups › Unlock › Restore purchases
Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase. With Family Sharing turned on, everyone in the family group can restore it on their own iPad.
Turn read-aloud checking on or off
Grown-ups › Settings and privacy › Read-aloud checking (microphone)
The iPad asks for permission to use the microphone and speech recognition the first time. Recognition runs on the iPad only, and nothing is recorded. If the iPad can only recognize speech over the internet, the feature stays off and your child checks their own reading instead.
Switch between US and UK English
Grown-ups › Settings and privacy › English
This changes spellings, words and Fritzie's voice, for example color and Mom or colour and Mum.
Delete a reader, or everything
Grown-ups › Settings and privacy
Delete one reader with the trash can next to their name, or erase all readers, progress, stories and settings with Erase all data on this device. Purchases are kept with Apple and can be restored afterward.
What is free?
The first 10 lessons of each grade. Grade 2 can be unlocked with a one-time purchase, or by finishing a Story Quest that a grown-up approves.
What do I need?
An iPad with iPadOS 15 or later. The app works offline.
